CCTV BizAsia: Greek Crisis and Fed Meeting

April 29, 2010

This week, CCTV-9 (China’s global English-language channel) has relaunched as CCTV News.  And I’ll be appearing as a regular economic commentator for BizAsia (formerly BizChina), every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:20am Beijing time.  I know that CCTV News is carried by many cable networks in the U.S., so for those of you outside of China, that’s 10:20pm EST and 3:20am GMT.

My observations on today’s show focused on two topics:

1) The EU’s response to the Greek debt crisis, as well as the recent downgrade in Spain’s credit rating (click here to view the video), and

2) Wednesday’s U.S. Federal Reserve meeting, in which it decided not to raise interest rates, and whether it may raise them later this year (click here).

The interviews are pretty short (approx. 3 minutes each) and easy to access, so check them out.

Excellent Commentary on Greece Patrick !!!!! I think you might find this commentary on the Greek problem written in February very interesting.

Bill Baker is a very successful fund manager in Baltimore who is also a college classmate and good friend and I am dying to get my hands on his book “Endless Money: The Moral Hazards of Socialism”.
