Video of Chicago Speech
In February, I gave a speech to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, in which I talked about what is driving wage and price rises in China, and the implications for China’s future. Indiana University’s Kellee School of Business recorded the talk on video, which it recently posted online — you can watch it here. If you prefer to listen to an audio version instead, you can download it here, where you will also find a brief written summary of the key points I raised.
My assessment hasn’t changed, in fact I think it’s been verified by the continuing inflation trends we’ve witnessed in the intervening months. So the speech is still worth watching as as a summary of my current thinking.
Thanks to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Boeing Corp., and the Dr. Scholl Foundation for generously sponsoring the event.
