EU Chamber Panel on China’s Economy

May 4, 2010

For those of you in Beijing this week, I wanted to let you know that this Thursday I’ll be speaking on a panel titled “China’s Economy: Should We Be Worried?” sponsored by European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.  My fellow panelists will be:

  • Fan Gang, director of China’s National Economics Research Institute (NERI) and China Reform Foundation, and a top economic advisor to the Chinese government.
  • Ardo Hansson, chief economist at the World Bank’s Beijing office.

The moderator will be Lyn Kok, general manager of Standard Chartered Bank in Beijing.  I’m honored to be included in what I expect will be a very interesting discussion.

The session is the first in the EU Chamber’s “Insight China Seminar” series for 2010, and will take place at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 6 at the Kerry Center Hotel in Beijing.  For more details, and to register online, check out the EU Chamber website here.
